Oh, the reason I used channel 17 for Battery is only so I can use the first 16 channels of the mixer for all the other instruments which will use only a single channel. You can rename the mixer channels to Kick, Snare, Hi hat, etc and when you export each channel to separate waves (If you do that), then your wave files will keep these useful names. Click on B in the mixer and you should see the activity on all channels starting from 17 and going across. 17 is the first channel under the "B" section FL's mixer. Now, you won't see anything in the mixer because we assigned Battery to channel 17 earlier. Now go into the piano roll and place random notes over all the samples and press play. From the menu, choose "Enable multiple outputs". Just below it you'll see a down pointing arrow, click on it. On Battery's interface, in the top left corner you'll see the little red plug symbol.
You have to tell FL to use Battery's multi-outs. The single numbers are mono channels and the first 3 are the three stereo you chose in the outputs dialogue but again, it doesn't matter in FL since they will all be stereo in FL's mixer. Now click on the 1/2 and drag your mouse up. This doesn't apply in FL so don't worry about it. This means that they're all currently assigned to output on stereo channel 1/2 since a stereo channel requires 2 channels. Now, where you saw C1, C2, etc, you will see 1/2 for every cell. Click on the root tab on Battery's interface and choose output from the menu. Then If you haven't already, load up some samples. Next, assign Battery to a mixer channel by clicking and dragging in the small grey FX box at the top right of the "Channel Settings" window. OK that and you'll be asked to close and reload Battery for the changes to take effect. FL doesn't really care about stereo and mono since every channel in FL is stereo, but in Cubase, a stereo channel is stereo and a mono channel would really be mono in it's mixer. In the top right it asks how many stereo outs, and how many mono outs. To set up each drum part to go to separate channels in FL's mixer, First, you have to decide how Battery's outputs are going to be configured by clicking on Battery's "options" tab.
